Project Description
Project Brief
Comcast has partnered with Energy Rewards, a member of the Crius Energy family of brands, to give customers exclusive “energy choice” options so they can take advantage of electricity and natural gas supply alternatives with greater confidence and ease.
The goal was to build a modern, responsive website that would enable users to register quickly and easily using any device from desktop computers to mobile phones.
Design Samples
Approach
The Stormhold Team was brought in to evaluate the existing systems and architecture, and to propose a new CMS solution that would reduce maintenance costs, resolve critical issues and create a new state-of-the art customer experience.
Telerik Sitefinity was evaluated and chosen as the platform for the solution. Reasons for this choice included support for Crius’s existing and future technology stack (MS ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server, both on premise and Azure), ability to manage multi-brand sites, in-built responsive design support, support for customized widgets which can be easily deployed across multiple sites, deployments through SiteSync, highly efficient publication workflow, and a rich experience for internal non-IT teams to manage content.
Stormhold provided user experience and user interface guidance following current best practices and Comcast’s established color and font themes. The team designed and developed enrollment site templates that are easy to deploy and edit for business users and custom widgets – built using responsive design methodologies and optimized for mobile devices – to accept enrollments.
Capabilities Employed
A Strong Brand
Comcast is now able to register new users easily to the Energy Rewards program. Visitors to the Energy Rewards site have a near equal experience no matter the device they are on and are able to enroll and manage their accounts. Business users can modify the necessary items through Sitefinity’s user-friendly interface to update assets such as videos, images, unique offerings and engage their customers.
Stormhold’s implementation of Sitefinity at Crius has streamlined the entire process of content publishing and analytics tracking. Crius can now develop new enrollment websites and update their existing websites faster and much easier. This allows Crius’s stakeholders to optimize time spent working with developers and slash time-to-market and to have been able to partner with bigger brands such as Comcast for joint campaigns.
Excellent Results
To support marketing campaign efforts, Stormhold created custom templates, widgets and a new website launch process to reduce the go-to-market time and effort. Business users now have the capability to modify specific areas of a website, such as regulatory terms and brand marketing content without IT’s involvement, streamlining collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups. Marketing campaigns are now managed completely by business users on the site.
